Bloggers unite for basic human rights

The month of May marked the first anniversary of Bloggers Unite. This particular year marks the 50th anniversary (1948-2008) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Putting the two together, members of BlogCatalog chose to launch an awareness campaign that would address the plight of the basic human rights. Read more

Forget me not!

We have all been there. We all know how tough and trying being teenager can be.

But what we all don’t know, what only the very few of us know and can clearly understand, is how really tough and trying being a teenager with a chronic illness can be.  

I have been there - well, until i was properly diagnosed (four years later!) - and I know how tempting it is to just skip therapy, or to intentionally forget swallowing your meds, just so you can make-believe that you are not unlike any other of your teenage friends. At least for three days, or even a week. Read more

Hmm! It is hard to tell by just looking at this picture… are these children just playing make-believe?You know, little games that little girls like to engage in. “Look mom, this is me ten years from now. A little too desperate for some attention, don’t you think? Maybe even trashy!” Or, is it actually that some A-list celebrity family, who paraded these innocent children,  have fashionably decided that this is how children between the ages of 5 and 9 should dress? Britain’s delinquents for reality tv

OMG, these reality shows are totally killing me! Enough with the spoiled brats screaming “I hate you dad!”.

It’s about time we had a real show- if we are going to have to watch these sort of things - with real torturous teenagers, and make sure it is only for a good cause: to harass, shame and blame Britain’s ‘young and uncontrollable’.

God the mechanic

Broken souls, broken cars; same thing really. In both case we need a great mechanic every once in a while.  One who comes highly recommended, and in places greatly respected, to restore our engines and mend our brokenness. Well, maybe not exactly.
