Bloggers unite for basic human rights

The month of May marked the first anniversary of Bloggers Unite. This particular year marks the 50th anniversary (1948-2008) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Putting the two together, members of BlogCatalog chose to launch an awareness campaign that would address the plight of the basic human rights. May 15th was the date chosen on which all bloggers from around the world would unite and dedicate their blogging time to making a ’statement’, addressing various human rights issues.  In support of the campaign, bloggers have been posting pieces inspired by, addressing, the universal declaration of basic human rights.
