Patagonia dreaming
No region imposes itself on the Western imagination quite like Patagonia does, as a borderline territory, the frontier of the inhabited world. Land of the Devil, of giants, of strange and exotic animals, of “wild and remote seas”, of immense spaces and (apparent) nothingness. A no man’s land that in reality harbors and brings together South American Indians, explorers, writers and outlaws, that mixes together different cultures and houses conflicts. A melting pot of ideas, traditions, contrasts and dreams, bazaar or emporium, better still boliche (that is, a small general store). And just as if it were the same sort of melting pot, this site presents the different ingredients that make up Patagonia. Both the historical and the imaginary one. Mix with care and season to taste.
