Forest Stewardship Council This is the system to certify wood products and those derived from cellulose: paper, napkins, toilet paper, kitchen roll, handkerchiefs are given the Forest Stewardship Award by this international independent non-profit organisation. The FSC label allows the customer to identify products that come from forests or plantations that are run in a responsible way and are traceable throughout the production process.
The Möbius Loop This international recycling symbol indicates that the product or some of its components, such as packaging, are recyclable without, however, guaranteeing that the product was packaged with recycled materials in the first place or that it is eco-compatible. The symbol is personalised for each country with different added information. The percentage of recycled material contained in the product is indicated by the number in the centre of the symbol.
Recyclable Plastics Inside the logo the number chosen on a scale of 1 to 6 corresponds to one type of plastic. 1 for PETE (water bottles), 2 for HDPE (detergent or shampoo bottles), 3 for PVC (grey water pipes, electric flex), 4 for LDPE (packaging film), 5 for Polypropylene (bottle tops), 6 for Polystyrene (insulating foam) and 7 for other plastics.
Packaging Indicates the composition of the materials of the packaging and the relative container for the correct recycling bin: steel, aluminium, glass.
Tidy man This symbol is often seen on tin cans and plastic bags as a simple reminder that these objects must be disposed of correctly and not simply thrown into the environment.
