Yiyun Li
Yiyun Li was born in Beijing in 1972.
She came to the United States to study medical science in 1996 and began to publish in English in 2003.
She is the author of A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, which won the inaugural Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award.
