Please, look and listen

The American economic system is collapsing. We can’t hide it, it is so. Many newspapers these days speak about the crisis and raise the issue about how far the sickness of capitalism has brought us. It is time to make some smart decisions, no matter what your (their) interests are and how full are your (their) pockets. Wired suggests the next US President to listen to and involve 15 of the Wired smartest people who have great ideas and solutions about climate change, energy, security, and defense.

There is Joachim Mitchell, for instance, who proposes a way to redesign cities without cars and organize them outside (the City Car) in order to reduce pollution. There is Ellen Miller, who wants to transfer the Web ideals of transparency and participation in the messy democracy that is the US government (tracking the schedules of participating memebers of Congress, public editing drafts of bills through wikis, post government meetings on Youtube, and so on). What we ask is just to have a closer look to these people’s ideas: they show pretty clearly how distorted the system that governs the world is.
