Smells like cancer

Here is what it may be a cheap and painless form of testing for skin cancer: just smell the suspicious area and compare the odor with healthy skin, because as experts found out, a common form of skin cancer could be diagnosed by the distinctive chemical “scent” it gives off.
After the discovery, scientists are trying to develop cancer tests using the same principles with different body parts, for example, odor of urine which could indicate bladder cancer, and is hoping to detect prostate and skin cancers the same way, as well as exhaled breath for distinctive chemicals given out by lung tumors.
Then, how easy would be to recognize the distinctive and indicative smell? Perhaps really hard for a human nose.
But not for dogs. The nose of the favorite pet and man’s best friend is one of the most sensitive instruments available, and because experts know it, they are training the animal to detect subtle changes in smell that could indicate cancers at very early stages.
